Emily Irene VanCamp was born in Canada and is an actress who has starred in a variety of television shows. She also excels in the field of film. Her popularity is shared by the world of Canadian as well as American television. Emily began to become interested after she watched her sister Katie working on a film. After discovering her enthusiasm in the world of acting Emily decided to enroll in classes to learn about it and started to audition. She started out with a couple of ads, and was soon included in the show Are You afraid of the Dark the Canadian horror series for children. The show had one episode where she was unable to talk. The actress got her first big break at 15 when she was cast as a regular on the WB program Glory Days. Emily's character caught Greg Berlanti's eye, despite the fact that the show ended with just nine episode. Greg Berlanti cast Emily as a regular character on Everwood.
