Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy, born 13 June 1962 in the United States is an actress. Her first film appearance was in Bad Boys (1983). Following that, she joined the Bratpack group and appeared as a character in WarGames (1983) The Breakfast Club(1985) and Short Circuit (1986). Sheedy received an Independent Spirit Award as Best Female Lead for her role in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998). Ally Sheedy has been an American actor and author for over 20 years. She began her career in film early in the 1980s with the crime-drama film Bad Boys, for which she received a lot of applause. Rick Rosenthal directed the movie and also starred prominent actors Sean Penn Esai Morales Clancy Brown Alan Ruck. In the wake of her success in her first film she was later seen in the comedy-drama film The Breakfast Club. John Hughes directed one of best films aimed at high schools. Although the film's budget was just $1 million, the film's profits were more than $50 million. She also began appearing in a variety of TV shows, including CBS Schoolbreak. This was her TV debut. It was a program specifically for teens that began airing in April of 1980. The other shows she appeared in included Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid and Hill Street Blues. The show Little Sister she makes a guest appearance. She also appears as a character in X-Men Apocalypse a superhero film where her character is only a short cameo. Sheedy is the recipient of numerous awards for her outstanding performances, which include the MTV Movie Award Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
