Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores at an Olympic competition. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. First competing in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. In 1970, she was crowned champion. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a communist countries. Between 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. When she competed for the first time as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion winning four gold medals and one silver. The first female to ever successfully complete the backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she was performing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol entered the entertainment industry in her teens. She started her career as a figure skater, performing alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around named Ice Capades. These shows included the ice skating of which was performed to music from the stage.
